Hi, welcome to the brand new Network Security Matters Forum. My next project to share here is building a micro ITX box for PfSense, doing a bare metal ESXi install, installing PfSense in a VM, Installing PfBlockerNG and Snort in PfSense, Installing TorGuard VPN in PfSense and then installing Security Onion in a virtual machine. I will be going in-depth on the tutorial so no steps are missed. I’ve been running this same setup for about 6 years with no issues. I am currently using a Dell R610 server for my machine and it’s big, bulky. very heavy and noisy so I thought I’d upgrade, (or downgrade depending on how you look at it), to something more reasonable. Feel free to post any questions, comments, concerns in the forum and hopefully we can get the ball rolling.
